A children's film by Satyajit Ray, a satire on the 1975 emergency and the Indira Gandhi regime and a comment on expression


Prisoners of Conscience-
a documentary film by anand patwardhan interviewing people who were imprisoned during the emergency; the inspiration for our project.


Pratidwandi-
again Satyajit Ray directed, about an unemployed, bright young man and his struggle for a job, set in a Kolkata of unrest.


Hazaaron Kwaishein Aisi-
Set in the 1970's, it talks about the Naxalite movement and the involvement of young students in India. Also talks about expression in times of unrest and oppression.
